The deadline for Residents of Beckington to put their name forwards for an allotment on the David Wilson Homes development is 1st July 2018
As part of DWH development, the Parish Council will be given some land to turn into allotments, handover of this land will happen this summer.
Before the Parish Council take ownership of the land, it is looking to set up an Allotments Association.
All allotment holders will have to be a member of the Association and it is the Association that will prepare the land ready for a full growing season in 2019
The Parish Council is aware that demand may outstrip supply and the Clerk already has a list of many residents that want an allotment. You can add your name to the list by emailing the Parish Clerk: beckingtonparishcouncil@outlook.com giving your name and address.
You will need to be willing to become a founding member of a new Association and to work with this newly formed group to prepare the land, install facilities.
A meeting of all residents on the list will be called in July (2018), the Parish Council will at this meeting suggest a format and invite attendees to form into an Association.
