Parish Council News for February 2020
Council Tax Increase:
As reported back in December, the Parish Council has taken on the extra service of a Parish Lengthsman, the Council has also taken on some Allotments and the set-up cost for the same are proving to be quite significant. In addition to this the Council has engaged with a Planning Barrister to represent the Council with regards to Mendip District Councils proposal to include the former Redrow II site in the new Local Plan Part II, at a cost of £2,500. Of course, doing more comes as a cost and as a result of the above the band D council tax increase for the Parish Council part of the council tax bill will increase by about £1 per month per property from April.
